To be clear, I do agree that we can and should talk about inflammatory topics. I don’t think that pushing things under the rug solves any issues. I think we can agree that changing a mind is really hard, especially on issues of ethics and morality. My understanding of how we come to moral judgements is heavily based on Jonathan Haight’s book, The Righteous Mind.
